The name "Xin Yi" is commonly seen in women born in the 1990s. Due to the construction of popular culture, this very feminine name is often associated with a sense of romance, vulnerability and vulgarity. In this work, the protagonist of the story has the same name as the artist. The story is based on the artist's own experience and fragmental information of the people with the same name on the Internet. Accompanied by self-analysis, prying and fantasizing about others, the symbiosis of reality and fiction advances the narrative. The artist uses the palette of vocal music and language to construct a new sound identity, in order to challenge the prejudices and cultural norms she faces, and proposing a more interesting and balanced reality.
